Challenge of Influence

For the bi- monthly challenge at Scrap Faith, they had a challenge to scrap an individual who has impacted you spiritually. I choose my husband, and here is the journaling: INFLUENCE for {good}... “At the time, we had just started dating. I don’t even think you began to know the influence YOU had on me. You made me want to be a better person, a better friend, a better example, a better daughter of God who stood up for what she believed in and knew was true. You helped me to want to always choose the right and to say this is black & white, no grays, no in the middle. You were getting ready to serve a mission & you made me want to be good enough to date you. You were the “perfect” example of a good influence.”

For the latest AI challenge, we had to do a layout with the theme of using the word judge and then list 3 good traits and 3 bad traits ( you can read them yourself). I was really excited with how my page turned out and used a 5x7 print I did in color and in B&W and then mixed the photo, also used the Making Memories 5th Ave line, which I am lovin......

But did one of each... Thought it should be fair... LOL I can never resist scrapping the pics we take at the beach when we go to Cali, since those always end up being my faves... On the page of Syd, I sanded the letters and then distressing them in brown ink, to give them a kinda softer distressed feel...

Got these two done this weekend, and one more, but am too tired to get it uploaded. But I am in a BOY scrappin mood... so gonna get them done, before I feel the sudden urge to bust into the bling, flowers, and girlie ribbon... LOL

Sometimes I get wrapped up in all the fun, girlie embellies and paper, that I get carried away with pages for Sydney. So I am trying to do more boy pages and did this one for the AI challenge of Austin, and am really happy with how "boy" it us. Used some bubble wrap for the white paint to give it some "feel".... and this is one thing that Austin LOVES to do, ride his bike. He would ride it everywhere if he could..

The Many Hats I Wear.....

We did a challenge at Serendipity, where you put your camera in the car and take photos of places you go to, and it explains the kind of hats you were. So, also with MOM, part time Accounting Clerk, Child Care for a neighbor friend's lil girl, book keeper for hubby's business books, and scrapbooker (LOL).... this is what else I came up with...

Sydney's Dance Outfit....

So those of you who know Sydney, you know just how girlie she is and how much she LOOOOVVEESSS dressing up.. today when I came home she had on her Halloween witch outfit and her pink cowgirl hat (from another Halloween costume) and left it on all day. Well when it was time to get ready for dance class... I told her she could NOT wear the witch outfit, but that was fine, she said she was keeping the cowgirl hat on too. So, this is what she ended up wearing, and I had to run an errand afterwards, so she wore it there too...
But I have to admit, she looks STINKIN' cute!!!!

National Scrapbook Day Crop!!!

Ok what else better to do than to actually scrap on National Scrapbook Day??? I mean the day is totally dedicated to it, anyways.... so Scrapattack Scrapbooking will have a fun filled crop with tons of fun challenges and prizes to keep you up and busy.... You gotta be there.. I know I will!!!

ScrapAttack Scrapbooking DT Reveals

Had fun with a few different lines of PP for my Scrapattack Scrapbooking porjects this month. Lauri gave me a total variety of papers and embellishments to play with and I love that they are all sooo different and just love them all. I think that the "Bubble Fairy" and "Angel" are my new fave pages. But just love the bold and bright colors that the American Crafts Amplified line creates.

So I am in BIG TROUBLE

That's right, I said it, BIG TROUBLE... Well Jeremy has been letting the kids watch some of the Harry Potter movies, and they really enjoy them. They love the adventures and the magic of the movies, and think they are sooo much fun. Well the other night we were going to bring a movie over the my sister's house to watch with her kids, and of course they picked Harry Potter. well Sydney was holding it, looking at it, and then blurts out (totally out of no where)....

"I want to kiss Harry Potter on the lips...."

Who taught this girl this? Not me, I know she is almost 5, but hello!!!!! I am not ready for this, AT ALL.... Lots like I got a little hot lips on my hands... (wonder where she got that from)...
Maybe hanging out too much with Auntie Katelin... LOL:)

My Sketch World New Layout Sketch

Just wanted to let you know, that Lucy posted her new layout sketch. This lady has amazing sketches, that I just love to use, always soooo fresh and fun. Mad Hatter Tea Party (CROP)

Not only do I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the name of this, for good reasons, but this is going to be a ton of fun, check it out:

You are cordially invited to our Mad Hatter Tea Party at Serendipity Scrapbooks. Since Mother's Day is right around the corner we thought that a Tea Party would be appropriate. So come on out and celebrate the many different hats we wear as women. There might be even a little May Day Celebration thrown in to our Tea Party. (note: crumpets and tea will be served!) The Mad Hatter Tea Party will begin on Friday April 25th through Sunday April 27th. We will also have pre crop challenges that will begin on Friday April 18th.
