What I Would Miss.... {Your Smile}

Saw this really cool challenge on Scrapdragons blog, and thought the prompt was sooo fun, I couldn't pass it up. The theme was what would you miss?? and I knew instantly it would be my kid's smiles.... Journaling reads: " I love to see you both smile, I love to see you both so happy, I love to see you excited, I love to see you love life, I would be soo sad if I couldn't see that anymore"....

Ready..... SET..... RIDE!!!!

Jeremy has been sooo good about trying to get Sydney to ride her bike. He's been working with her for the last couple of days, and today he really tried out her bike riding- NO training wheels. We went for a bike walk, and she was really doing good, got a bike frustrated, and he had GREAT patience with her, I was sooo impressed... She's not all the way there yet, but on the way to riding her bike with NO training wheels...

Rainy Day with Beauty....

Even though today was kinda yucky for Memorial Day- rainy, overcast, cloudy.. not really the burst of summer weather, that I was looking for. We pretty much took a lazy day, sleeping in, watching movies, we did BBQ and even got a walk in after dinner.. But in the evening there was a beautiful twist to the day, and just had to catch it....

Syd's Spring Dance Recital

Tonight was Sydney's Spring Dance Recital. She has worked so hard all semester for her ballet number "Rubber Ducky" and the tap song "When I Grow Up"... She just loves going to her dance class and then esp, dressing up for her big recital. She was so excited for her big night to shine, and loved every minute of being on stage. When her teacher handed out dance trophies, she was more than excited.. She held onto it very carefully all night.. We are sooo proud of her.

Syd's Spring Dance Recital

Here is one of her tap dance "When I Grow Up" it was just the cutest to watch live...

Syd's Preschool Grad

On Wednesday was Sydney's big Preschool Graduation for A Bushel and A Peck Preschool. She was sooo excited and talking about it for over a week. The program was just so cute and adorable. They sang lots of songs, recited Nursery Rhymes, and even got a photo video of pictures that had been taken over the school year. There were lots of field trips, and lots of learning. I can't believe how big my lil girl has grown up. She just loved learning, loves writing things, and LOVES to sing whenever she can, she just amazes me with her desire to learn.. I couldn't help but get chocked up, realizing that she will be starting big school next year (elementary school), but will have a very helpful older brother to watch over her... Thanks sooo much to Miss Denise and Miss Heather for being just amazing teachers, you guys did a ROCKIN job.. thank you...

New Lil Niece

My sis, Caroline and her hubby Ryan, just had their third baby... a GIRL.. EMILY!!! and she is just the cutest thing ever. They are in Washington, so I haven't gotten to see her yet, but in July I will be able to for sure, so then I will take lots of pics... But just had to share... check out her pics ...HERE

The Cure... Lives...

Ok, so seriously... STILL one of my fave bands, even after 20 years (yes I said 20, and that does make me old) but I am still a fan.. Jeremy and I had ticket now for almost 9 months and the concert was finally tonight... We had great seats- center floor, row 13, seat 13... how lucky is that??? They were amazing, and played tons of their old stuff that I still am not sick of... It was a blast and loved every minute of the show. The opening act was an English band, 65daysofstatic, and they were really good too... such a great show...

So I'm not the AI winner and that's OK!!!

So here are my latest pages from the AI challenges, and I didn't win, and seriously that is fine with me, I am really happy with how my pages have turned out, like the extra push with the challenges to create something different and out of my norm, plus I made it to the finals, & that makes me happy. The competition was amazing and total talent from the others. So here are my final pages. Both have song titles, "Angel" by Sarah McLaughlin was our wedding song, and "Precious" by Depeche Mode (ok my most FAVE group) and just LOVE that song....

Scrapattack Scrapbooking DT items:

This month for SCRAPATTACK SCRAPBOOKING I got to use some seriously fun items to play with this month. I got to use the Pink Paislee Spring Fling line- which is soooo cute and versatile and also the Scenic Route Sumner line, which is one of my fave company brands anyways. The two lines worked totally well together and scrapped some completely different types of photos. The page of called "Jeremy Shoes" I have to tell you about. For those of you who know him, he has a certain "style" of shoes. Well we had been looking for some new ones for a couple of months- basically just newer vans, same style and couldn't find any. Well I was at Target (my fave store EVER) and WOW!!! I found these shoes and the style was named: JEREMY I mean, HOW COOL is that??? so I got them, and he loves them....

Season Endings...

LOST:

I really, really, really hate this time of year. You are totally addicted to your shows, it's sweeps and everything is soo great and incredibly intense, and then BOOM... season finale. Not cool. But tonight I'm watching all my shows. I seriously LOVE Thursday nights still. And even since the beginning, I am still an ER fan and love it.. All I can say about tonight's is WOW!!! is it next season yet? I have got to know who was in the ambulance. About the go watch the other two, since they taped from earlier. Totally love the sarcasm of the Office, and hello... Jim!! Plus, Lost, me and Jeremy can not get enough of that show. So glad there is another season coming, because I still have a lot of questions and want them all answered... Yup, Thursdays are good.....

1st Grade Zoo Field Trip

I meant to post these earlier. Last week was Austin's big 1st grade field trip to Hogle Zoo. Jeremy, Sydney and I went up to meet Austin's class at the zoo and hung out with his class group. It started out kinda cold and rainy but did get better. The Red Panda was the highlight for me, they are just sooo cute and adorable. Austin said his favorites were the tiger, cougar, and giraffes. The giraffe display they have is soo cool at this zoo, you really get to see them up close. Sydney had fun tagging along, and was just "one of the kids" at the zoo. Afterwards, we got to meet his class at the park for lunch, before they headed back on the buses. Austin is so funny, and so independent. He didn't want to ride with us, or leave early, but stick with his class and on the bus. As you can see in the bottom picture, he totally wore himself out at the zoo, and we found him later, he had pulled out a sleeping bag and climbed in it himself, and took a nap. Fell right asleep....

Mother's Day....

Jeremy always makes the best cards with the kids and while I was taking a much needed nap today, this is what he came up with for my Mother's Day card (he wrote on the back to me, but I didn't post it).... isn't it just the cutest??? totally fun, when your hubby is a Photoshop wizard... I always love to see what he creates and comes up with... Today was a really nice, relaxing day, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Even though I didn't sleep in, still got a nap after church. Later we just went for a fun drive in the afternoon, and Jeremy made dinner and I made my fave angel food cake. Each of the kids gave me presents they made in school, and got to spend the whole day together... it doesn't get any better than that..

Daughter

Just some recent pages of Syd that I thought I would share. I was on an all boy kick for quite awhile, so Austin got a ton of pages, but I had to be girlie and get out the bling, flowers and butterflies.. Though I did use some stars on the top on, that was for the AI challenge of using a song for a title and I used "Daughter" from Pearl Jam, and just love that photo from our recent Cali trip...

Long Day Today....

Well today was a VERY long day... For some reason my mind was spinning and racing and I could not get to sleep for the life of me, so of course when that horrible thing, called an alarm went off this morning, I was not happy. Went to work, then hurried home to get all the last minute things done for Syd's very first friend party, she had 10 friends come over. It was sooo much fun to watch how excited she was and happy. I love her smile, she is sooo beautiful. We played games, decorated their own cupcakes and had ice cream, opened presents and then a few more games till the party was over. Then my sis brought Austin home. He and his cousin managed to get into some pretty big trouble. All I can say is, I spent 2 hours running around working on trying to replace the damage. And now I am dawg beat tired... So today was great, hard and then I got even better news when I checked in..... I won the challenge contest at Scrap Faith from my recent LO called INFLUENCE!!!! WOW!!! soo happy and made my day.. When I journaled it, I even got choked out.... so good day today..

Sydney (my baby) turns 5 today......

Gosh it only seems like yesturday that I had Sydney, and that she was just a sweet baby in my arms... Sure as heck doesn't seem like 5 years already!!! That's right my baby girl, turned 5 today!! I can NOT believe, time sure does fly by. She has grown up so much, into such a little lady, such a girlie princess... All I can think is have I taught her right? Is she really ready for school? Will she always be this happy and carefree? and I hope all the answers are YES.... Today was such a wonderful birthday, by request, I made her a chocolate cake in the form of a pink butterfly... I surprised her and took her to McDonald's for her special lunch- not my fave at all, but her's and that's all that matters.... Soooo glad to be a mom to such a wonderful, sweet, and loving girl... Happy Birthday Syd....
