Silly Girl Syd

I saw this fun sketch from Jenny for the weekly sketch at Croppin Paradise.. At first I was a bit intimidated to use it, but got over my fears and busted it out. I'm also using it as one of my pages for the House Contest going on over at Serendipity Scrapbooks.. only one more week and then it will be over...I love these random photos of Sydney, really shows her personality for the camera.. silly girl? Yup, that's my Syd.

Jump..

I kinda re-found some papers that I bought awhile back and realized how fun they looked, pulled them out and made a page.. The Monday challenge at Apron Strings was the hand journal on your page.. totally easy for me, since that's all I ever do. I've found I want my kids to know my handwriting and gave up on the computer journaling a couple of years ago.. that is a thing of the past me for me. And I've actually grown to love my hand writing, so I don't mind throwing it on a page.. I also used sketch # 116 from sketch inspirations..

Flower Child: layout, cards and a challenge

For the rest of my designing with the Memorable Seasons kits, which was the Bo Bunny Flower Child line, I created just a couple more projects.. I also was able to create a challenge on the site for this week. My challenge is a Flower Child one, use at least 10 flowers, 3 of which need to be hand cut out, and then use the word flower in the title or journaling.. So the Summer Flowers page is my example page.. I've really enjoyed this line and being able to help out on the site board for this month, it's such a great place to visit and hang out..

If I Could..............

ok so I always enjoy the fun sketches they have going on at Sketchy Thursdays.. but I saw this one and knew I HAD to give it a chance... ONE you had to either use pink paint or mist- mist CHECK...
then you had to use the sketch- CHECK- it's dang cute....
Last, you had to fill in the blanks, if I could______ I would_______. so my answer? If I could QUIT MY JOB, I would SCRAP ALL DAY... I would, I love it. I enjoy it. My brings me happiness and creativity in a way I never knew.. Plus the family enjoys their books.. so here is my take on it.

5 For Fridays

Ok I thought I would give this challenge a try, the 5 for Fridays and it was sooo hard to stick to JUST the 5 things... It took ALL the power within me to hold back and stop piling on the embellies, more papers, bling, flowers and everything!!! this was hard. but I am really happy with the page, definitely something new for me.. Here was the recipe:
1 sheet neutral cardstock - white, black, kraft
1 sheet bright, springy shades of patterned paper
1 set of stitches - pen & ink, rub-ons or the real thing
1 frame
1 set of buttons - at least 6
Other than title and journaling, the above are all that can be used on a layout.

Swimmin Beauty

I saw the challenge at Apron Strings for the color challenge this week- hot pink, white and black.. that is one I haven't used in a loooong time for some reason.. This year's bathing suit of Sydney's was perfect for the colors.. pulled out the photos and forgot about this older line from Rusty Pickle that was perfect.. so waaaahhhh-laa... lots of bright pink.. I also used Sketch Inspirations # 115 for the layout...

8 Years Old

I can't believe that you are growing up so fast, right in front of my eyes. You turned 8 this last August, and already working up to turning 9!! slow down.. I loved the days when you were little, loved to sit in the stroller and go in the car, play at the park all day and nap with me.. You are really starting to get taller, act more grown up, and becoming more aware. You still love to be on the go, in the car, and would play outside all day if I let you.. so somethings haven't changed. I love that.. Here are some of Austin's birthday photos, I made the special requested dinosaur cake, and the fun spider cupcakes.. which were soo good!!! I love this photo of you blowing out the candles.. I used the fun Nuts About Sketches from the Apron Strings challenge.. so here's my take. This is alot of photos for me to add on to one page, but I did it..

Guest DT- Memorable Seasons

For the month of March, I was lucky enough to be chosen to be a GDT at Memorable Seasons, which has such a great board and community over there, super friendly. My sister Caroline (WAScrapper) introduced me to the board.. and the store has amazing prices.. The owner even did a sale last week for new CHA releases at 40% off!!! I KNOW!!! Well I was able to design with this SUPER fun line, which screamed beach and summer photos to me, it's the Bo Bunny Flower Child line... This is what I created so far, and hoping to get a page and a couple of cards done with the remaining scraps.. I loved it and used a good portion of it.. Also got to use some of the glazed brads- which are kinda my fave right now, and some coordinating stickers and embellies..

Beach Bum: (my cute lil niece Emily)
I made my own flower embellies with the leftovers from the tearing:

Used lots of fussy cutting on these papers.. they were just begging to be outlined and cut:

Lucky

I really do love St Patty's Day.. I LOVE the color green so I think that may have something to do with it.. so this line was sooo fun and easy to use... It's for my Croppin Paradise DT projects with the Little Yellow Bicycle Lucky Me line... Just love how versatile the line really it and can be used for any occasion not just holiday photos.. I was flipping through photos and found this one of our family... totally candid and used it for the "luckiest girl in the world" page.. Also the photo of Jeremy and Austin was sooo cool, I remember taking it and looking at how sweet the angle of the two was. It was from our Zions trip last June...

Oh Boy.

He's my big boy 3rd grader this year.. Austin is getting so big, and really starting to seem older. I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday he was just walking, not yet talking and into everything. I guess in away, he is still into everything, but very curious still and asks what seems like a thousand questions, but that's good, he wants to learn. Here is his annual school photo.. I did this page for week #4 of the House of Serendipity challenge.. which was to lift a member of the DT with the latest LOs from the March kit.. I choose Ellen, her style rocks, and totally stunning.. so here is my take on it.

i {heart} brownies

ohhh how I love a good brownie, gooey, thick, chewy and yummy.. I esp love them with peanut butter, esp peanut butter m&ms all crunched up in em, and chocolate chips and Hershey syrup added to them too. But for the fun challenge at Memorable Seasons this past week was the scrap your fave food.. no problemo... Here is mine, and I used the adorable 3.11 Sketchy Thursday sketch.. so here is my YUMMY page...

She is such a cutie.. I have to say.

Mix It Up Magic

ok so I am a HUGE fan of kraft cardstock, it goes with anything and everything.. I guess I dress the same, I LOVE brown and it goes with everything.. so Alecia showed me this fun challenge blog, Kraft It Up, to use kraft.. which I always do anyways.. the challenge is: You must create a layout using KRAFT and you must also have a MIXED ALPHA TITLE... DONE.. so here is my take on it..
