Here is one other page from the crop.. They are some photos from the last Killers concert that we went to last September, and can I just say there are AMAZING to see live... I've seen them a few times, and they do not disappoint.. the challenge here was to use only black and white and ONE other color and then add some tickets or memorabilia...

Happy Birthday Pear

ohhh when I saw the fun sketch at 365 card challenge blog for Day 84.. I knew I was going to be using some Sassafras.. it was screaming use me!!! so Here is what I created for this sketch, with lots of fun bright colors...yummy...

Water Fun

I soooo love summer and all the comes with it, warm sunshine, great weather, playing outdoors and getting wet.. Austin is totally the same, that boy LOVES the water.. Here are some fun pics from last summer, and I know I'll be getting more pics this summer and can't wait.. I used the Sketchy Thursday 5.27 sketch and then the challenge at Apron Strings called 5 on Friday.. all you can use on your page is:
1 sheet cardstock in navy or red
1 sheet patterned paper
1 set metallic embellishments
1 set of stars
1 set of buttons

So here it is..................................................

Apron Strings Challenges

Aquarium: This page is for the Wednesday challenge to use a sketch from Nuts about Sketches, my sister, Caroline is on the DT there and I've been printing them out and trying to get to them.. so here is my take with the sketch... I used some of the Sassafras Lass I got when they had the amazing deal on the Sass site...

Dr Seuss Play: for this challenge at Apron Strings it was not only to use a sketch, but create a layout that incorporates a nice apple green and alter the sketch to include more than the one photo shown.., SO here is my take on it.. and I did something I haven't done in a loooong time.. I had papers all laid all, glued down.. and then BAM!!! I hated it.. so I ripped off the papers and started fresh with different papers for this one.. I did manage to keep the same green apple CS though.. so here's my final page...

I have been holding on to these black and white papers because they were just sooo pretty I didn't want to use them.. LOL... I know just use them already.. right? Sometimes I just can't bare to cut them up or use them.. thinking it need to be for that one special project. Well I finally just dug in and cut them up.. Here is a card I created with Card Patterns sketch # 65, which I thought was just right to use the papers...

I made both their teacher some thank you cards for being so amazing and such GREAT teachers.. Both kids had wonderful teachers who they both adored. I used IC card sketch # 68 which also worked for the Croppin Paradise weekly challenge which was to take a simple card design . . . create 2 cards . . . with 2 different sayings.. so perfect.. here we go...

Our Family

Our Family... This page was based on the Brady Bunch challenge from the Serendipity crop this past weekend... what log do you remember from that show? the grid? Well that's exactly what a challenge was based on, was to create a layout in grid form... So I created on with all of our family in it.. cuz we're the Robinson bunch... (I know kinda cheesey... lol) But I had fun with it..

Cousin Friends

This page was created for Sketches by Tamara's journaling challenge this week on her blog.. The challenge is to make a layout and Journal around the edge of your layout. For this challenge I used some fun photos of Sydney and her cousin, Haley while they were playing over Christmas break at Kangaroo Zoo.. It's soo nice when they come into town, and Sydney isn't the only girl cousin for awhile. The two of them get along so nicely and are realllly girlie together, which is cute to watch...

Angels

This past weekend at the Serendipity crop, there were several commercial break challenges, which were also timed challenges. This one was based on the old ads that featured Mr Yuk.. and the challenge, use a LARGE green circle and black buttons.. easy enough.. so I created this page, with the latest Croppin Paradise 5/21 sketch.. Here is my page. I used these gorgeous papers from Serendipity Scrapbooks that Kristen created herself.. can I just say WOW... and yup, that's me and all my sisters in some fun Charlie's Angels poses..

Great 2 Be Eight

This weekend at the Serendipity Crop, there were several commercial breaks, since all the challenges were based on tv shows. Here is mine that was based on the Where's The Beef? Wendy's commercial.. remember that from way back when? Since the beef, or the meat, of the layout, alot of times, should be about journaling, to really tell that story. So for this challenge you needed to have at least 50 words of journaling, something that sometimes I get so wrapped up in the embellishments, I forget to do. Also to have red and white on your page, since the Wendy's logo is red and white....

SuperStar Kid

Here he is, my super star kid.. Susan had a super cool Star Trek challenge going on for the Serendipity crop this week.. Use the colors, red, blue and gold (yellow), mat in black and then 6 different sized stars... how cool is that? so I cut all all my stars, mainly freehand.. and then used the May Magpie sketch.. Here's my take:

Birthday Cards.. and a Few of them

So I was on a roll last night making some birthday cards and here is the set I made. The challenge was for Memorable Seasons- only 2 PPS to use on all 3 cards and then only B supplies to use.. so I choose brackets, butterflies, buttons, bling, a banner and a bow... Sounds easy, but it took some planning forsure..

Bday Wishes: I used the Inspired Blueprints card sketch # 48 to create this card.

Bday Girl: I used Lucy's May 15 card sketch from MSW to create this card.

Birthday Girl: I used the Mojo Monday card sketch # 139 to create this card...

Vintagey Bday Card

ok so I happen to have a friend who has a bday tomorrow and she's a vintagey crafty kind of gal, so I had her in mind when I created this card.. I LOVE the soft colors, lacey trim and buttons.. for some reason, I just don't scrap this style all that much. Here is my card though, and I used Posh #15 card sketch to create it...

Color Scheme Bday Card

ohhh when I saw the fun color scheme challenge at 365 card challenge blog for day 79.. I reallly hard to look around and search to see what I had.. I finally pulled together several papers from several manufacturers to create this card.. Here it is, and I used sketch # 67 from the IC card sketch blog...

Tamara's Card Sketch

Butterfly Bday Card

I took the photo of this card and you can't even see the light white rub on in the center with a party hat and says "party hat" in the center of the blue.. oh well.. still happy with how that card turned out.. I used the latest Card Patterns sketch # 64 and then used it towards Cheryl's (who is an amazing card maker) striped card sketch at MSW Spring Fling crop...

Twisted Card

I love the fun sketches at Twisted Sketch and this one for sketch # 007 totally grabbed my attention, and the added twist, black and white... ohhhh love the color combo.. and then I thought I'd girl it up with some PINK... so here is my take on it and my card...

Spiral Flower Bday Card

ohhh I saw the new Sunday sketch at 365 card challenge blog and thought it looked way fun.. I totally struggle with diagonals for some reason, I usually need to end up cutting the paper a couple of times, I just get sooo backwards.. I blame my not so greatness on high school geometry, which I think was the hardest class I ever took!!! I also used it towards Katie's flower challenge at MSW to create a card with 2 handmade flowers- I choose to make two spiral flowers.

Party Hat Birthday

well it's been awhile but needed to get back into the happy birthday card making... Here is one I made tonight with the IC card sketch # 66 and then I combined it with Alecia's Spring Fling Bday card challenge at MSW.. I used all American Crafts products, esp for the misc buttons.

Wedding Album, Gift Bag and Card

This weekend was Kelly and Tasha's wedding and I had kinda put off getting a gift till last minute.. It's been realllly crazy around here. But we went to the wedding on Saturday morning and it was totally gorgeous.. What a beautiful sealing and they just looks sooo adorable. Well that night was the reception, and I was talking with my sister Kristine about what to get them. She mentioned making an accordion album, something I've done for a few other of the siblings that had gotten married. I found out their wedding colors, and did one side of the album with their engagement pictures from the wedding announcement and then left room for them to add photos from their wedding day on the other side of the album.. I also made a matching card and gift bag to put the album in. I used an older line of AMM, but ended up being perfect for a wedding set, and am happy with how it turned out.. I hope they enjoy it..

Recipe Challenge

Well it's Tuesday, so that means I have something to post about.. I've been in a major crunch for time, scrappin and being creative and I hate it.. so this week is my vow, to get back into scrappin.. I have challenges, sketches and an upcoming crop at Serendipity Scrapbooks next weekend, so I'm going to make it happen people!!!
This card is for this week's recipe challenge # 119 at Sketches by Tamara's blog..
Here's the recipe:

Masking
Alphapbet
Yellow

I'm glad there was masking, it's a technique I don't do much, but LOVE to see what others are doing with it on their projects.. I used used a chipboard thicker heart from Dear Lizzie and masked it with ink..
This is my take on it.. what will yours be?? I can't wait to see...
