Published: ScrapStreet: The Luckiest Trip Ever

ohhhhhhh I am sooooo excited to finally be able to share this!!!! I got asked to submit a page for an article that Stacey wrote for the March Scrap Street Magazine and you can find it HERE. I got to do a layout about a time when I was lucky.. and I have to say I had one of the most luckiest things happened last year too... I mean, not just kinda lucky, but super lucky...

Here is the journaling:
How it Happened:
First, I was the random radio caller and had to identify the Disney voice. Easy: It was Eeyore. So I was the winner of a 4 pack of 2 day Disneyland hopper tickets. Then the grand drawing: 3 Day Hopper Passes for 4, and 2 night stay @ a Disney hotel. I WON IT! It was the luckiest day, the luckiest trip, and totally amazing!!! Disneyland October 2010.

I used Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 line for this page.. I just adore that line too.. sooo fun and yummy!!!!

Blog Tiffany - Sports Challenge

The new challenge up and posted at Scrap Tiffany is all about SPORTS!!!!! Now this is one thing I am a huge fan of.. sports.. Growing up, I played mainly soccer, volleyball, softball, and was always up for water sports at the beach. Sports was just part of growing up, and I have to say, it is one thing that I am very grateful that played apart in my life. Now, my kids are growing up and playing sports. Right now we are just finishing up basketball season for the kids, who have both worked hard and improved in this year. Next we will be onto indoor soccer, and then outdoor spring soccer.
For my page, I used some of Bo Bunny's line Mama-razzi.. I just love the rich colors in it, and thought it would work perfectly with a sports themed page also..

All about love!

Sketch:
Here is my take on the challenge/ color/ sketch for this round. I used Echo Park's new Springtime line for this page, which worked out perfectly with the color combo... I am just adoring the new line from them, it's gorgeous!!!!!

Decorating the tree:

Hope you play along!!!!!!

Echo Park- SpringTime pages

Our Family: these photos were from last June's trip to Idaho, and these photos were taken at the Idaho Falls temple, since it's just such a pretty and scenic place to take pics at. I used Echo Park's Springtime line for this page. I LOVE the fun banners, scallops and colors from this line, they really do make me happy. I also used the Scrappiest Sketch # 108 for this page.

My Sweethearts: that's right, that's exactly what these two little cuties are... my lil sweethearts... I just can't say how much my kiddos mean to me, they are my heart. I used Echo Park's Springtime line for this page. I also used lots of pop dots and did quite a bit of fussy cutting too, since the patterns on the papers were just sooo fun and perfect to turn into embellies.. I also used part of a sweetarts wrapper on the page too, just for fun. I used the Scrappiest 106 sketch for this page.

1 Cool Kid

I really enjoy making girlie pages with lots of bling, flowers, and goodies.. but sometimes I really just enjoy making boy pages too.. You can kinda rough em up a bit more and I really LOVE the mix of color combos- esp this one: blue, orange, and brown.. one of my fave boy combos.. And I have to say, that I reallly do think that Austin is 1 Cool Kid, he is his own person, and I just love that about him. I used the Sketchy Thursday 2.24 sketch for this page also.

You Are my Sunshine

Well I finally got to dig into my newest Echo Park SpringTime line... it's sooooo fun and cute... I have to say I LOVE the patterns in the line, esp the cute lil birdies.... they just make me totally smile. These photos were taken of Sydney last June when we did a weekend Idaho trip. I'm finally getting around to scrappin lots of the photos from that trip, we took ALOT.. I also played along with the Scrap The Girls Feb challenge, which was a sketch...

Swim Time -Page Maps

Talk about a some bright and fun papers... These are from the Jan Studio Calico kit I made sure I HAD to have.. esp since there were some Crate papers in it, that were only made specifically for the kit itself.. And since we got some snow this weekend, I thought it would be nice to actually scrap some warm weather that I am missing.. I used the Page Maps sketch for this page...

Nuts About Sketches- 2 2 pagers

Well this weekend I went to a crop and I got soooo much done. Including a couple of two pager layouts which I was super excited about!!!! Here is the first on using Nuts About Sketches week 149 sketch. These photos are from the crop I went to in New Orleans ( i know, how cool is that?) back in Sept 2008. I still can't believe it's been that long, but I had a BLAST and was sooo excited to meet some online scrappin buddies...
Alecia, Andie, and Angele scrappin our hearts out.
Disney Fun: I used week #147 sketch for this 2 page spread. I got everyone's pic on the carousel at our last Disney trip. We had such a fun time there. you can't probably tell, but it was raining that day and we went on the carousel to stay dry. By the time we were done, the rain let up a bit, but was nice to stay dry.

Day 364: Sketchy Sunday

It's Sunday, which means it's time for a sketch from Pam at 365 card challenge blog for Day 364....
This week, Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, is proud to sponsor this challenge:
Here is my take on the sketch, I used one of the frames from Robyn's Fetish Digi stamps for an image on my card. I also used Sassafras Mix and Mend line, plus added quite a few fun embellies on it also.
For my image, I used a frame, printed it out on cream cardstock, inked it with some Tea Dye Distress ink, and then used some Silver and Patima Glimmer Mist to soften it up, add some color and sparkle to it:
more details:

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and have fun playing along.

Twisted Sketch Card #48

There is a gorgeous new sketch out at Twisted Sketches to play along with, sketch #48 and the TWIST: Folds... fun... So here is my take on it, I'm a huge fan of ribbon pleats and just love how much they add to a project.. So I did two layers of pleats on my card here, and then added lots of stitching.. I used Sassafras Mix and Mend, which has become one of my fave new lines to use, I just love the colors and softness and distressing it has going on.. So hope you get to play along too.
plenty of stitching.. I put that sewing machine to work:

Decorative Tape Card

This week at Scrapbook Trend's Blog, was Paige's challenge to use decorative tape on a card... FUN... since I have some, and am totally guilty of using it. So this opportunity was perfect, and now I'm super warmed up to start using it alot more.. So he's my card with tape:
I used 3 different types of decorative tapes and then layered in some ribbon, and sewed them all down:

Cards and some Cards

Last night I was totally in a card making mood, so here are some that I got done and busy with.
The first one uses the CPS #206 sketch.. I kinda just flipped it and came up with this. also I played along with PTT #4: anything goes
upclose of flowers:
For this card I used the Skipping Stones sketch and I turned it on it's side. And I also used the fun color scheme from JUGS challenge #72: kraft, aqua, and melon.. but with Mr Sun not coming out today, I'm not sure if the color looks melon.. but it is... :)
I just LOVE this color combo, I'm sooo going to have to use it again:
For this card I used some OLD Scenic Route.. which I still love with the Sweetest Things sketch# 105 and the ScrapFit color challenge: Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and White... ahhhh makes me feel ready for spring... well, summer really..

Lastly, a sweet baby card, using IC card sketch # 103 and also playing along with the Paper Variety- add stitching to your project.. and I LOVE my sewing machine too....
there's my sewing....
