Nuts About Sketches: Week 175

It's week 175 at Nuts About Sketches and Shawn has a WAY fun sketch up and posted to play along with!!!

Here is my take on the sketch. I used some photos of Austin at soccer camp, last summer. The kids always have a blast at camp and LOVE it. They always ask if they can go again. I used some Teresa Collins papers for this layout, perfect for a boy page.
Instead of one large photo, I used two photos side by side:
adding fun with lots of buttons:

My Family

Well yesterday was it... I packed up my scrap room for the move and man!!!! was it hard. I feel like my crafty self is on a hiatus and going away for a little bit.. It doesn't mean I didn't keep a few things out to be crafty on the way till we get settled in, but I know I won't have the same set up, of a whole room just to myself.... sigh....
So here is my last layout for awhile, that was just for fun. I used the 8.18 Sketchy Thursday sketch to play along with. I used Echo Park's Summer Days line for this page... and am SUCH a fun of these yellow thickers, the fun font, the puff-iness and just plain cuteness of em..
The photos were taken a couple of weeks ago, as we went to a local baseball game and we all had a blast....
I just adore this cute lil birdie, it always makes me smile:
got pics of everyone having a good time:
Happy Friday!!!!!

A Happy Birthday Card

The latest challenge from Paige at the CREATE blog was to create a happy birthday card!!! I was soooo excited. I used to make birthday cards all the time, since I was in charge of it for all the ladies to receive one, for their birthdays, at our church. But now that we are moving, I'm not in charge of that anymore, so I've actually missed making happy birthday cards. I totally jumped on the challenge, and made this one, with LOTS of bling, banners and of course, a cake!!! I used Echo Park's Summer Days line mainly for this card.

Added an Elle's Studio journaling spot for my card:

Soccer Player

I just had to jump on the sketch for this week's Sketchy Thursday 8.11 sketch.. it ROCKED!!! So here is my take on it. I used some of Austin's soccer photos from this season. He loved and really enjoyed playing goalie and really improved at it over the season. I was really proud of him. I used some Basic Grey Marjolaine for this page.

Adding some bling, a star lots of circles on the page:

Nuts About Sketches Week #174

It's Monday and time for a cool, new sketch from Nuts About Sketches for week #174.. It's a two pager!!! and a great one, I know I'm going to be coming back to again to use...
Here is my take on it, I only used the left side of the sketch:

I was taking lots of pictures of the kids, who were all smiles and then got a little goofy at the end of it.. always gotta have some silly pictures!!! I also used some Nikki Sivils papers for this page, which were perfect...

ScrapFIT Workout# 50: Be Inspired by a Book

It's time for a new ScrapFIT workout.. and #50 is up and posted.. It's all about being inspired by a book!!! the challenge: Use the book cover below to inspire your next layout! Use the design of the cover, the color or the vintage vibe – be creative!
Here is my take on the book inspiration... I used Echo Park's Life is Good line for this page.. I also used the book cover itself for a general sketch idea to get my page going.

I also took the bold title from the book cover and and worked it a bit:

I was inspired from the cityscape on the book, and added some fun little houses in different sizes to my page:

Then I added some fun embellies to mix it up a bit and give the page some texture...

Can't wait to see how the book inspires you!!!

Foam Time.

well sadly, I haven't scrapped in almost two weeks, except for 2 cards... It makes me sooo sad.. but life has been crazy lately and I've gotten most of the things I needed to get done, waaay ahead of time.. a first for me.. But I LOVED the 8.4 Sketchy Thursday sketch and I felt the desire to be scrappy again.. I used some Pink Paislee Hometown papers and embellies, which I finally got around to getting and using..
the photos are from foam day last month. The kids LOVED it, this was our second year going, and they obviously had a blast!!!

Gettin warm with a BG Woolie....

A banner and some stars:

I also added some Sassafras embellies and bling to punch it up a bit...
