2 Pages

well I got a couple of pages done yesterday, I got one more done today, but it was too dark to take a picture to post... boooo darkness... I used the Creative Scrappers sketch #174 for this page. When we made the drive from UT to CA we stopped and took some pics are at the Hoover Dam, and man was it hot there!!!! yikes!!! I used a mix of Jillibean and Amy Tangerine papers and embellies for this page.

Here are some pics of the kids going off the diving board. They had a blast that day and kept going on it, again and again!!!! Like for almost an hour.. it was fun to watch, and added for some good pictures. I used Pink Paislee's Hometown Summer line, and then used Creative Scrappers sketch #173 for the page.

Lazy Days of Summer

I've had the October Afternoon Fly a Kite line for quite awhile, and refound it when I was moving and thought it would work perfect for some of our summer photos. The one of the kids on their boogie boards at the beach, is one of my faves!!!! I used the 9/28 OA sketch for this page.. I threw on some machine sewing too...

I added some butterflies sprinkled on the page for some texture:
A list of 5 summer favorites that we love to do:

Mr Water.

Mr Water... that is totally the perfect nickname for Austin. That boy would live in the water if I let him, at the pool, at the beach, in the shower, and anytime in between. I used some October Afternoon, the Fly a Kite line for this page. I also played along with the Paper Variety sketch challenge that was just posted. Usually I don't add too many photos to my page, but I am kinda liking it....
I LOVE this picture of Austin swimming. Its such a fun action shot. His swimming abilities have really picked up this year from doing swim lessons over the winter months, and starting out with pre swim team. I am really impressed with how hard he worked and how much he learned.

Sketches from Practical Scrappers

I played along with the newest sketches from Practical Scrappers and got to both the card and the LO sketch!!! wooo hoooo. For the card I used Fancy Pants "its the little things" line and added some bling on the black and white flowers...

Here is the card sketch:
And for the layout......
I used Pink Paislee's Hometown Summer line, which I still can't get enough of, for this page of my sweet niece. She came to visit us in August and she is sooooo cute, even though she's a bit shy and all. She doesn't love her picture taken either, so these were hard to come by...

Here is the sketch that I used for my page:
close up of some of the details.. I used the E to represent Emily's name and the cute lil girl cut out kinda looks like her too...
isn't she a cutie????
Can you tell I'm sooo not ready for summer to end? I'm reallly happy to be in Cali where the weather is still warm, flip flops and shorts are still ok....

Some Cards

I've finally gotten around to making some cards today. I used Fancy Pants "Its the Little Things" line, which I am just in love with.. esp all the cute lil birdies.. The top card used the Sweetest Thing sketch challenge #136.

This bottom card, I used the same line and created this card with the Mojo Monday sketch #208...

Gotta love some cute birdies...

i love 2 Swim.

I had to jump all over the Bella Blvd sketch that was posted on 9/24 on the Bella Blvd Studio Blog.. I had some older stickers, and cut outs, and some newer paper and just had to play along. These photos were perfect for the summer theme of the items I had, and I just adore that cute lil birdie too... Here is my take on it...
I can't help but smile when I see that toothy smile of Sydney's esp with those goggles she is wearing...
Mixing up the alphas, and layering the borders:

1st Day.

This alpha paper is perfect for a back to school/ 1st day photo layout. Most of the page is Jillibean Soup papers. I also used the Pixie Dust Paperie sketch challenge to play along with, and flipped it a bit for my page. Sydney was sooo excited to wear her panda bear shirt on the first day of school too.

Here is the sketch I used:
I just LOVE how stinkin cute these lil typewriters are from Jillibean Soup!!!! tooo adorable.. I want a real one!!! LOL...
Just a touch of bling, buttons and some fun thickers:

Moving Day.

waaaa-hoooooo.. More scrappin... I got done another layout and I'm hoping to get to a couple more this week, if all goes as planned. I used some more of the Scrapbook Circle Sept kit, packed with AC's Amy Tangerine line- yeah!!! This page went towards the Scrapbook Circle challenge #16 which was all about NUMBERS. I also played along with the Sketchy Thursdays 9.22 sketch with this page, which I just adored!!! I LOVE busting out my sewing machine whenever I get a chance...

I used a number ticket on my page:
2 QTY.... moving... that's right, 2 kids to move.
machine stitching... and yup that's a Uhaul trailer that we pulled behind us on the move:

Be With Me, Be Near

I scrapped!!!! and I scrapped for fun today in my new craft space... well it's a corner, but it's still my CRAFTY space!!!! Since the move, I haven't really gotten to scrap anything in a looooong time. I mean about a good month or more. I've made a card here and there, but that is it.. I can't say HOW nice it is to actually have all my stuff and in my own space and being able to spread out and take advantage of it.
I created this layout and actually got to play along with some challenges... I've reallly missed that soooo much... I used the Sept Scrapbook Circle kit, loaded with some of the AC Amy Tangerine line... which I had been drooling over since it came out. So I was super excited about this kit. I used the challenge from City Crafters Challenge #75 to use MUSIC on your project. I used some music paper and the lines from the song for my title- "Be With Me, Be Near" by ABC. I also used the left side of the Nuts About Sketches sketch # 180 for my page.

I used Sassafras's Anthem line with music notes and some piano keys... then added on some bling:
I loooove this picture of Austin, he was laughing sooo hard, it's so candid...
Using the song lyrics for my with "Be With Me, Be Near":

Happy Monday!!!!
