I mixed some alphas and Lily Bee word strips for the title:
and then I cut apart the "pie" circles and created a banner with some twine at the top corner:

Grand Opening of Michael's in Utah

Hello and good afternoon...

Last week when I was talking about an upcoming trip that I was SUPER excited for was all about THIS trip with Spellbinders. I had the opportunity to be at the Grand Opening at the American Fork, UT store for the new Michael's.

This was PERFECT for me, since I lived in Lehi for 7 years and have watched this area of stores grow and grow and have all your shopping needs in one area.

I helped demo the Grand Calibur and die cuts, esp the anemone flower topper die cuts, and even did a make and take of these:
I had a BLAST feeling like I was home in Utah, plus I got to stay with my sister Katelin and hang out with her.

I feel VERY honored to be apart of Spellbinders Action Team...

Have a great day!!!

Taking Care of Mr Bear

Hello and good morning...

today up on the Sketches in Thyme blog is a wonderful new 2 pager layout from Tiffany.. I totally enjoyed this one and had some great photos. My lil one was playing with her lil bear and I couldn't help but snap several photos of her playing. She is really into cuddles and giving loves.

here's the left side:

and the right side:
I used Echo Park's Bundle of Joy girl line, which was perfect for these photos of my lil sweetie.
here is the sketch:
Hope you use it and play along!!!!

Have a most wonderful day!!!!

2 cards...

Hello and good morning...

I got a bit of a chance to get back into my scrappy area and make some cards. I haven't been able to scrap for the last week so it felt good to get back to some craftiness.. I'm still trying to figure out a crafty time, now that school is out and every day is a little bit different.

First up is this card, I made it for the My Scraps and More mini challenge from Lisa, to use a sketch and add a Polariod on the card, I had one in my Dear Lizzy stash:
I'm also using it to the Let's Get Trendy 3 challenge to use sequins.

and I got done a Hello Card, for the Let's Get Trendy 3 challenge to use Neons... this was VERY hard for me, I'm not a neon girl at all... and I got to all five of their challenges!!!
and I'm linking it up with Simon Says, Anything Goes.
Hope you have a great day!!!
Happy Hump Day...

Up 2 Bat.

Hello and good morning...

Today I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog....
Well the Got Talent III challenges are in full progress over in the forum... We're on week #3 in the forum and it's been super cool to see all the amazing creations from everyone...

The mini challenge for week #3 is all about punches.. using the ones that you have in your stash. I know I have a ton and I love to pull them out, whether I'm creating a border or punches shapes to add as embellies to my page. The challenge: use at least THREE punches on your page...

I used Studio Calico's Atlantic collection found in the store HERE... I LOVE it, esp because it's doesn't just have to be for summer or beachy pages.. I used it here on a sports page.
I used a border punch to pull your eye down the page, and I added a smaller piece of it at the top of the page to tie it together:
And then added some fun stars and buttons from other punches:
How do you use your punches???
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Hi There Stranger

Good evening...

Up on the Practical Scrappers blog today it's all about FUSSY CUTTING...  that is one technique that I have been using for years.. I  LOVE to look at paper and pick out images and cut them out and then use them on the page. It's also a great way to add coordinating embellies, just by cutting out images from your paper.

Here's my card that I created:
First fussy cut out scallops and added pop dots to make a layered effect.
Next I also fussy cut the heart and lil elephants to add to the card.
I used some Glitz papers for this card...

Hope you have a great night...

2 Staches.

Hello and good morning...

I can NOT believe it's Monday and the weekend went WAAAAAAYYY too fast.. how does that happen... LOL

Up on the Let's Get Sketchy Blog is a wonderful new sketch to great your mojo flowin....

I found some super older photos of the kids while I was scrolling through some pics looking for a photos for Austin's school grad and came across these.. I have no idea what they were from and where the staches came from.. but I had to print out the pics and scrap them.

I added some misting and grabbed whatever was kinda laying on my desk for embellies.. the papers are Studio Calico.
and a few sequins to top it off...
look at that lil guy.. I think he was 6 in the photos:
Hope to see what you come up with...
Have a great one!!!!

Here is the latest sketch on the 365 Cards Challenge blog:
And here's my card:
I went pretty simple with this card, just a star, a button and some bling.. the sentiment is an SRM sticker:

It was Chorley's first swim of the summer, and we had gotten her the cutest little swim shirt and shorts.. ahhh I love em!!!! I can tell she is just s surfer chick in training... :)
I misted just a bit of pink in the background:
and use the chipboard and stickers embellies:

I came up with this page:

Ball-er

hello and good morning

I know I've been scrapping alot of baseball photos lately, but I have just been loving scrappin sports pages, plus the photos are fresh and right on top to get going.

Here is a page of Austin when he was up to bat:
I used the Scrapbook Circle June kit and sketch for this page. I've actually been lovin this kit, cuz it's totally a GUY kit and perfect for my boy pages and a recent Fathers Day Card I made.
I also made my own embellies for the page, first I punched out a star, then I punched out an embossed button, and then topped it off with an enamel dot. I created three of them and added them to the page.
I played along with Let's Get Trendy 3's handmade embellishments challenge.

Well Happy Hump Day!!! have a good one.

Cards In Envy: GDT

Hello and good morning..

Happy Monday and hope you all had a wonderful weekend..

I'm super excited to share some news with you about a GDT that I am on this week, the wonderful Cards in Envy challenge site...
Here's the challenge: We're going to be sewing or rather stitching (real or faux) on our cards for this two week challenge!  There are so many creative ways to add "stitches" to your cards by stitching on the paper (zig-zags or straight), stitching designs or other creative ways.  We can't wait to see what you have STITCHED UP for us!  Please create and share  A2 (4.25" x 5.5") cards that fit  in an envelope with no lumpy bumpy flowers, buttons or embellishments. The challenge starts today, Monday, June 17th  and runs until June 30th.

Here is what I came up with for the challenge:
I used two different stitches on mine, some zig zags across the center and then straight stitches back and forth across the top:

What a cool and fun challenge... cuz I LOVE my sewing machine..

Hope you will check it out and play along..
Have a good one!!!!

Day 167: Super Sketchy Sunday

Hello and good morning..

and Happy Father's Day!!!! to all the wonderful fathers out there who work hard for their families and are amazing dads!! I've been extremely blessed to have the best dad myself and now being married to a superb man who is a wonderful father to our kids, I'm VERY lucky...

Up on the 365 Cards challenge blog is a new sketch to get your week started:
In honor of Father's Day I made this Dad card:
I'm also linking this card up with Let's Get Trendy 3's textured layers.
I had originally had this bottom card made first, but I needed another Father's Day card, so I made the top one with the same sketch.

Don't forget to stop by the other DT's blog and see their super sketchy sunday work:
