Just The Girls- Practical Scrappers Use Your Stash Blog Hop.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Friday!!!! I'm ready for the weekend, so brang.. it... on!!!

We have the monthly Practical Scrappers Use Your Stash going on, you should have arrived here from the wonderful Cheryl.... and if you got lost, start back at Cathy's blog, she is the first stop.

I used an older line, Molly from Bella Blvd. Its one I fell in love with, hoarded it because it was too cute, and not finally breaking into it.

This photo if of me, my lil one, and my littlest sister back in April when she came out for a visit and we went out to lunch with our dad.

I used a chevron border punch and then outlined the punched areas in black sharpie:

And couldn't resist adding the cutest lil owl from the line:

I used the August 15 Stuck Sketch for this layout also.

I'm the last leg of the hop, so it ends here.
Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Long Summer Walks.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday!!! I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog today.

Today I am sharing a summer page with you, using non summery papers and colors. I used the Basic Grey Barista collection. Today the challenge up in the forum is all about the Trigger Tuesday word for the month which is "Summertime". My challenge is to scrap something you do in the summer and use non summery papers for your layout.
I am just n love with this collection, and feel like it can be used for pretty much almost any occasion since it has such neutral colors in the line.

I added a few of the Evalicious Life's Sweet Snip Snip Labels, perfect for journaling on:

And then decided to add some pops of red through the page for just a bit of color, and used some of the Evalicious wood pieces too:

So scrap those summer photos and feel free to scrap them in a non themed summer collection.. Make sure to play along with link up in the forum.

I used the Stuck August 1 sketch for this page.

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

You R 12.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Friday!!!! Whose ready for the weekend??? I am, so brang it on!!!

Up on the My Scraps & More sketch blog is the second sketch for the month to play along with. At first I was a bit stumped on what to do. So I thought a lil outside the box and came up with this, and really ended up enjoying the sketch.

I scrapped this photo of my daughter on her last bday. She only wanted cereal for breakfast, I offered to make her something, so I ended up adding a candle to it, to start her birthday day off .

I used the Simple Stories So Fancy collection, and only used a 6x6 pad of paper for all my papers.
I also punched some circles and added some enamels and misting splats through the page.

And added some bold thickers for the title to make it stand out:

Here is the sketch:

Hope you get a chance to play along...

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

You Are So Sweet.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday!!! I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog today.

I wanted to share with you my latest layout, that is also the latest challenge layout for the Got Talent Contest going on over in the forum area.

I wanted to take the rule of threes, that alot of us scrapbookers and artists tend to work in, and use it towards actual techniques on your pages.
I used the Basic Grey Barista collection... one that I was drooling over since I saw it released in the sneaks. I LOVE the muted colors, which I usually don't tend to gravitate towards, but this line was super cool.

I scrapped a photo of my lil one at the park, she was just too excited playing. I used a set of the Evalicious stamps for my "frappe" drink, and paper pieced it together. A technique I haven't used in awhile so it was kinda fun.

I used a few of the Lifes Sweet Evalicious snips throughout the page:

And used a few of the Basic Grey Barista sticker circles and cut them in half and added them on the layout:

I got messy with some gesso and some mist splats through the page and had fun with it.
Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Pocket Letter Swap.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Wednesday!!! hope you are having a great week!!

I wanted to share a project that I did over on the My Scraps & More forum. We had a pocket letter page swap, where we each make 9 cards, that fit inside a baseball card holder page protector and then send them to another member in the forum. I've never made one before, so this was my first go at it, and it was really a ton of fun.

Here is the one that I created. I used some older Simple Stories papers for it.

I had no idea what I was doing, but I really enjoyed making little mini cards.
I added some wood pieces and enamels, along with some washi strips:

And I also popped on some sequins and a bit of stitching:

This is the one that I received from my swap partner Toni. She did amazing and I LOVE what I got:

Have you ever done a pocket page swap? I totally recommend it..

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!
