My Girlz.

Hello and good morning...

Welcome! This is Challenge #18 for Craft Hoarders Anonymous ChallengeBlog !
Challenge#18:Layer it up!!!

One good way to use your hoard is to use lots of it all at once! So, let's see those layers! We need to see at least THREE layers on your project! (Ink, paint, embossing, and mixed media products do count as layers!) Drag out all of that hoarded paper or those embossing folders that are in the back of the drawer. Use those stamps, dies, and punches! Show us the layers!

I layered my background texture. First with gesso, then with misting on a mask. Then I used a dot stamp, and stamped on top of it.

I also made my own embellies with punched metal- black and turquoise and then a sequin on the top layer:

I used a pink metal sheet to layer my papers underneath and on top of here:

One of the sponsors is from Add a Little Dazzle. This was the metal sheets that I used for my layers and my embellies...

Challenge Rules are HERE. Make sure to link your project using the Link Tool on the Craft HoardersAnonymous Challenge Blog.

Racing Card and Bookmark..

Hello and good morning...

I'm up over on the Moxxie blog today.
One of the lines I have just completely fallen in love with, is the Racing line from Moxxie!!!! The fun bold colors, and great cut outs has totally grabbed my heart!!!

I decided to make a fun boy card, for my son, to give at any occasion, or a just because card.
I added some black stitching to  work along with all the boldness of the collection.

Next, I decided to make him a bookmark. He is forever folding over the pages on my husbands book, so I thought a new cool bookmark was in order. I pulled several of the stickers for the line for it.

So there you have it.. A great boy project at the tips of your fingers... And honestly, I think any boy, at any age, has a love for cars and speed!!!

Thanks sooo much for stopping by today and have a great day!!!

I Miss U So Much... Inspiration Elevator Blog Hop.

Hello and good morning....

Our main purpose here at IE is to challenge ourselves, each other and YOU to take the creative process to the next level;  to inspire growth and change in our scrapbooking beyond the mundane.
You can catch us on Facebook  and share your creations there; we'd love to see how we have inspired you!

This month we are thrilled to welcome back as a guest designer with our team, the artistic and genteel, Scarlett Salomone. Her creative works are as lovely as she is!

This month's challenge is issued by the talented Wendi Robinson. Her first time to issue a challenge for IE and it's a great one! Here is her challenge in her own words:

LOSS... One thing we as scrapbookers do is post about lots of happy things, wonderful moments, things that make us smile, and things we want to remember. Too many times we avoid scrapping the not so memorable, or sad times. Most of us have experienced a loss of some kind, whether is be a loved one- sometimes it's expected, sometimes the loss comes too soon and unexpected. Other times we lose a pet, a job, feel like we've failed at a situation, or loss of a friendship. This time, let's scrap those harder moments that come into our lives. Scrap about a LOSS of some kind.

Here is the page that I came up with. I scrapped one of my grandmother. She passed away a few years ago, and honestly she is probably one of the hardest people for me to lose. She was such an amazing person, I felt so blessed to have her in my life for so long. I'm glad that my two older kids got a chance to get to know her, but my littlest was born after she passes away. She really was all you could ever ask for in a grandmother. I kinda put off scrapping this page, just because I knew it was going to be a bit hard... and honestly it was. I got a bit teary eyed while I was scrapping.. why.. I miss her. I still wish she was here...

This is a photo of the two of us, the last one I have of us together...

In the pocket I added some tags of things that I miss about her and things that were special to me about who she was:

Overall I kept the page fairly simple, I didn't want the embellishments taking away too much from the theme of the page itself:

I used the Creative Scrappers Sketch #279 for my layout.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Survivor Day!!!

There's a fun new challenge up on the Scrap & Play challenge blog, perfect for the month of October.

Here is my page. I used some photos of the kids from two years ago Halloween and some Glitz Raven from last year.. I LOVED that line...

I fussy cut the spider webs out, pop dotted the, and then added some fun word strips:

And used the spider web paper and cut it out into a scallop border, topped off with stitching and washi tape:

Here is the challenge:

and I used the new Sketches in Thyme October  sketch #132 to play along with.

Make sure to check out both challenge...
