Sweet Girl.

Hello and good morning....

Happy Tuesday!!! I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog today.

One thing I love doing is grabbing an older pack of printed photos and thumbing through them and finding one that just begs to be scrapped. This photo of my little one is from almost a year ago, and I couldn't resist using the Fancy Pants Flutter collection with it.

I decided to go with more of an open "white" space feel of the page, and just add misting on the sides and a few accent embellies.

I several embellies from the ephemera pack, cutting the flower in half and then several of the butterfly diecuts:

I also added just a hint of gold on the page and topped off the title with a hashtag title (it's all the rage... right?)

Here is the sketch I created for the page for the sketch-a-thon:

So if you use the sketch, make sure to post, I'd LOVE to check out how you used it... and make sure to get what you can of the Flutter collection, it's going quick, and the colors in the line work with boy and girls pages!!! always a plus in my book :)

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Bat Girl.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Friday!!!! I am sooo ready for the weekend to begin...

Up on the My Scraps & More sketch blog is the latest sketch to play along with.
I used the Simple Stories I Am collection for this layout of my little one played with her older sibling's baseball gear in the backyard. Each time she plays, she always dresses up in the full gear.. It's pretty dang cute too.

I added lots of fun sticker embellies:

I also added several stitching strips down the page and then popped a few embellies behind the photo and let them pop out the side:

and of course, a few pops of enamels:

Here's the sketch:

Hope you get a chance to play along.. I'd love to see it!!!!

First 10k @ 40.

Hello and good morning...

I'm up over on the Moxxie blog today.
If you haven't noticed I have completely fallen in LOVE with the Fun Run collection. I'm just drawn to all the bright, fun colors in the line. My cousin talked me into doing a race this year, actually my first ever race. I've never done anything before, not even a 5K and we signed up to do a 10K. I trained hard and was super excited, but then ended up tweaking my knee two days before. I was totally bummed out, but I wasn't going to let that stop me, so I went ahead and did the race anyways. I am sooo glad I did, it was such an amazing experience, and I got a cool medal too.

I LOVED the quote from the cutouts paper and decided to add it and cut it up and have it as the main focus of the page, since that is truly how I felt.
I added my title around the 10K sticker:

I also fussy cut part of the banner on the running girl cut out, and layered it over the paper, along with adding some arrow sticker accents:

So if there's something you've never done before and want to give a try, go for it!! Age shouldn't stop anyone from trying anything, its just a number.

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

3 Kiddos.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday!!!! I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog today.
Today I am sharing a layout with you using the Bella Blvd Color Chaos line.  And honestly, most of the page is taken from one sheet of paper. I used the red heart paper for my center background, and then fussy cut and pulled from the Daily Details paper for the rest of the layout accents.

The photo is of our three kids and was taken last summer.

Here is the Daily Details paper I used. I fussy cut several of the images and then added them through the center section, almost like their own embellishments.

I just love the Bella Blvd Doodads (enamels) with lots of fun shapes to added on the page:

And then topped off the page with a pennant and stitching:

So in case you haven't checked out the Color Chaos line, make sure to look it over. It's PACKED with tons of bright and bold colors to work with.

Here is the sketch I created for this page:

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Friends.

Hello and good morning....

Happy Thursday!! hope your week is coming along well, and we're that much closer to the weekend.

Up on the My Scraps & More sketch blog is the latest sketch to play along with for the first one of April.  I used the Simple Stories I Am collection, which I am just in LOVE with....

I scrapped this photo of a very good, long time friend that I've known since Jeremy and I were first married. We don't get to see each other enough, but got to get together awhile back and had a blast. You know the kind of friend, that you just pick up right were you left off.

I added a few embellies down the side and layered them on a tag:

and then topped it off with some embellies and hearts and hearts:

Here is the sketch:

Hope you get a chance to play along, I'd love to see what you create!!!

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

You & Me.

Hello and good morning..

Happy Tuesday!!!! I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog today.

Well the sketch-a-thon is in full swing over in the forums to play along with, a sketch a day for the month of April. This is the page that I came up with for Day 4's sketch. I always seem to fall in love with the Fancy Pants releases, and the Flutter collection was no different. I love that it can be used for boy or girl pages.
I scrapped this photo of our two oldest kids, the photo is from almost a year ago, and they have grown up sooo much in this last year, it's crazy how fast it all happens.

I added a bit of a border with a border punch, and added some random stitching also:

I also used several of the diecuts from the ephemera pack, which also had some "blackboard" like diecuts:

Here's the sketch that I created for this page:

If you use it,  post it in the comments, I'd LOVE to see how you worked with it!!!

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and hope you have a great day!!!

Spring Moxxie Blog Hop.

 Hello and good morning...
Happy Friday!!!!!
Welcome to the Moxxie Spring blog hop that is going on.

I used the Springtime collection and decided to go with a "messy" spring card instead of something clean.

I used the SPR-1522 Take Flight paper for my main background, and felt it was too busy, so I spread gesso over the background. Next I took a mask and added three or four different color mists until I got the look I was going for (I used a teal, light green, yellow, and deeper aqua mist)

I also punched out some butterflies, and then used a bit of mist on my finger and spread it on the butterflies to add a bit of color, and topped it off with some bling in the center:

Grumpy Doc McStuffins.

Hello and good morning...

Happy April Fools Day and Survivor Day tonight!!!

Up on the Sketches in Thyme blog is the latest sketch to work with. She recently changed the blog and there will be a new sketch to play along with EACH week!!! how cool is that, so 4 a month!! (no april fools joking either :)

Here's my take on the April 1 sketch. I scrapped these photos of my little one at Halloween. For some reason, she did NOT want to smile and have her picture taken that day at all. I tried several times, and I maybe have like one good photo, but most are outtakes so I thought I might as well scrap them.

I used some MME papers for the layout, and added a bit of twine and enamels on the page:

I also added some gesso with a mask in a couple places on the pink cardstock base:

Here is the sketch:

Hope you head over to play along!!!

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!
