Pumpkin Coloring.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday!!! I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog today.

I'm sharing a very non holiday themed layout with you with some halloween photos of my lil one, while she was pumpkin decorating. I used the Cocoa Vanilla Hello Lovely collection for this layout.
I went with very nontrational colors- using pinks and aquas, which is also probably one of my fave color combos. But there is a bit of orange through the page also.

I actually used a Sharpie pen and colored in some of the spaces in the patterned paper on the top black and white paper. Then added lots of fun wood pieces and enamels on the page:

I also popped in a bit of random twine and added some to the tags:

But with tons of new holiday collections coming out, there will be a ton of holiday papers and embellies to choose from. I just like to mix it up and scrap non themey holidays pages too sometimes..

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

Influenster Loreal Ultimate Straight Hair Review

Hello and good morning....

Today I am sharing an Influenster Review of a SUPER cool product.. I received a box of goodies that included all the Loreal Ultimate Straight products!!! how cool is that!!! considering I am ALWAYS trying to keep my hair straight. I don't have naturally curly hair, I don't have cute waves... I have mainly mostly flat hair with some funny, random frizzes in it... hence I always need to straighten it.
You can find all the Loreal Ultimate Straight Products HERE on their site.

I received the full set of the new 4-step line:
Step 1: Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight – Straightening shampoo

Step 2: Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight – Straight Boosting Pre-conditioner
Step 3: Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight – Straightening conditioner
Step 4: Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight – Straight Perfecting Balm

It's a four step process, but it's not a big deal at all... It's super easy and I don't feel like I spent any extra time in the shower or getting ready.
I took a before pic of my hair on a normal day, no straightening, just my funny natural wave, frizz.

I hopped in the shower, using the shampoo to wash my hair. It was creamy formula and really easy and smooth on my hair. I am SUPER hard on my hair, working out alot, being outside and straightening it. So personally I LOVE cream formula.

Second step, add some of the Preconditioning Straighten Booster--- easy peasy.

Third step, add conditioner on my hair and leave it in for 1-3 minutes. Just enough time to wash down. The conditioner was really creamy and went on easy.

Fourth step, after towel drying my hair- add a dime size ( I did add a bit more, since I have pretty long hair) and rub. It smelled reallly good too- always a plus.

I blowdryed my hair and this is what I looked like, with just a blowdry:
(I forgot to put back on my glasses- opps since I wash my face and took  off my makeup) but my hair did feel smooth and soft

And then here is my straight hair after using my straightener:
honestly, it feels really healthy, soft and great....

Did I like the product???--- YES!!!
Would I use it again??? ---- YES!!
PLUS: It smells great and I didn't feel like I had a ton of product in my hair.

It's super easy and the true test will be tomorrow when I wake up and see how straight it still is, but anything that keeps my hair straight rocks!!!
(UPDATE: the next morning my hair was still straight and soft and no straightener needed for the day)
#Ultimatestraight was provided for me for free as part of a 2015 Influenster VoxBox. Thanks for the products, Influenster!

Super Hero in Da House.

Hello and good morning....

Happy Wednesday!!!! hope you are having a great week...

I scrapped a page for fun of my little one the other day. She has a blanket she ties around her neck and calls herself a super hero!! I love it, it's super cute..
I used the July Scrapbook Circle kit and sketch for this layout.

I added some fun wood pieces and puffy pieces on the page:

Along with some misting and two sets of pink alphas to mix it up:

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Oh Cutie.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday... I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog.

Today I am sharing a layout with you from the latest Got Talent challenge contest going on, you can either play along in the forum or on the My Scraps & More facebook page. For this challenge, since we ALL have tons of patterned papers, I decided that it would be fun to make our own pattern paper. This is a great technique to help ensure that your papers match your photos or whatever you are trying to highlight.

I made this page, mainly using Cocoa Vanilla's Hello Lovely collection, but I added three of my own homemade patterned papers.

For my first paper, I made a script pattern, writing a sweet note of my little cutie. I punched a border on the side and added it under the pink graph paper:

Next I created an ombre misted paper, that matched exactly with her skirt in the photo:

Lastly I made a flower watercolor paper, using a stamped image:

Next I added some sharpie pen coloring inside the flowers:

To top it off, I added some watercoloring with pencils and used a blender pen to color the image in, giving it more of a "soft" feel. Again pulling colors from her dance outfit:

So get creative... what technique would you use to create your own patterned paper???

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

All Star Catcher.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday!!! I'm trying to play catch up after being on vacation for ten days and get back into the grind of things... and boy is it hard...

I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog today.
It's no secret that I've kinda been addicted to scrapping my son's baseball photos lately.. I think I went through such a huge phase of scrapping girl pages for my two daughters, I got away from boy pages. Maybe it's the fact that he loves baseball so much, I can see it in the photos, so I enjoy scrapping them more, I'm not sure. But the Cocoa Vanilla Made of Awesome collection is just that.... awesome. It's so fun and easy to work with, perfect for boy pages.

Here is a page of him doing what he loves, running or stealing home and playing catcher:

I added a bit of twine in the background for a bit of texture. I added several of the die cut ephemera pieces through out the layout:

Since the Trigger Tuesday challenge involve a theme, this month has stars as one of the them. I punched some stars from paper and then misted over them to create this effect, along with added some of the vellum stars:

and mixed up my October Afternoon alphas for the title work:

So check out the store for a great boy line- Made of Awesome... You'll use it over and over again.. in fact, mine is almost all gone...

Thanks sooo much for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!!!

Fifty Miles.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday!!!! I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog today.

Today I'm sharing with you a layout with one of my son's photos. He went on a fifty mile hiking trip last summer with scouts and... of course I sent him with a camera.. I got a couple selfies.. LOL!! But I really loved this one, it's of him at sunrise with his backpack on ready to go.
I was excited to dive into the new Cocoa Vanilla Made of Awesome collection.. It's a great BOY line, and I'm always on the hunt for good boy papers. This line ROCKS!!! I love it!!!

I used lighter blue misting at the top of the page, then a medium blue and then a bit darker blue at the bottom. I used a few of the die cut embellies through the page also:

And then added just a bit of red stitching as strips, along with some navy mist splats:

So don't forget to give your kids the camera and see what photos they come up with, or print photos from their phones or ipods, they will love it.

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!
