Blog Lift Challenge

At Serendipity Scrapbooks, they are having the Blog Party and the challenge this week was to pick a blog, I choose Ellen's and use elements of it into creating a layout... So I used her black background, white out lines, and green polka dot header, also some flowers... and had lots of fun.. what a great way to get inspired so just look around.

1. Ten Years Ago... I was still 23 living in Provo, but engaged to Jeremy who was living in Cali... I know crazy, and long story. Was having fun, hanging out with friends, and frequent trips back and from to Cali over a 4 month period. I moved back finally in August.

Just Had to Bust into the Goodies...

I am sooo lovin the skull goodies that I just got from Dorianne, that I busted right into them right away and did a mix- match page... The title is "dependent" (which is kinda funny, since it's one thing I'm not) but the journaling reads: "I'm a pretty independent person, not too dependent on too many things, but I do have a few... 1. My daily soda: Diet Cherry Pepsi, 2. My Music: always on. 3. Scrapping: I love to create."

I came home from work today and checked the mail, totally not expecting to see anything exciting, but bills :( and I opened it up and WOW!!!! look what Dorianne sent me!!!! TOTALLY love all this fun girlie skull stuff and can NOT wait to use it all up!!! sooo yummy..... Dorianne has such a fun, funky, fresh style and I love it!!! you have to check out her Etsy shop she has the CUTEST embellies and onesies!!! I want a baby, just to dress them up in these cute onesies!!!

Scrap Attack DT Reveals

This month for Scrap Attack Scrapbooking I got to use the super fun, bright and colorful We R Memory Keepers White Out Frenzy line which is soooo cool. I absolutely loved using all these fun, colorful patterns with lots of swirls and flourishes all over them.. distressed in white.. what a cool line!!! I used everything I got, to the point of having no scraps left over what so ever...

Perfect Photo

Jeremy got this amazing photo of a butterfly in our backyard daises the other day and just LOVE how it turned out... totally gorgeous.. So I've used this photo and even tweaked it a bit in Photoshop for a slightly grainy look to it, for the below layout.. I also tweaked it again and will post that page tomorrow... Nature just always astounds me, total beauty just minding it's own business... and proves to me that there is a God...

I got a few older family photos from my grandparents awhile ago and finally did something with them. LOVE this pic of my dad and my 2 aunts ( I totally see Kristine in my Aunt Marcia), took the photo and turned it sepia used some older Chatterbox PPs to get the vintage feel going... Unfortunaly I took the photo at night, so not the best lighting, but you get the picture... Also love my grandparents house... always such a comforting feeling to be there, I wish I was still living close to them, Cali is still far away, but they are AMAZING in every aspect of the word.. they are the best....

I got these fun Reminisce PPs from Lauri @ Scrap Attack Scrapbooking and couldn't wait to use them since I had the perfect pics for them!!! Such a beautiful country and loved the people there, not only did hubby and I get to visit there on a vacation, but I got the opportunity to live there while serving a mission... so yes LOVE this place... hopefully ONE day I will get to go back..

Two Pages Done...

Had just enough time to get two pages done last night.. I've been wanting to scrap so bad, but not enough time in the summer days to get it all done, and spend time outdoors. This is one of my FAVE pics of Syd from the April Cali trip we took...

Obsessed Now? Maybe...

And yet I am totally unashamed of my obsession... I can't stop reading the books, finished the other one this weekend and am almost at page 200 now in this book, oh my gosh, just freakin love them... that's why I put them off till summer, so I can pound through them. Then Aug 2nd the next one comes out!!! I can't wait. Jeremy asked if he should get it for my birthday, Aug 17th, and I gave him a look like he was crazy. I said, nope I am getting it when it comes out, and will finish it by my birthday.... He means well, but I can't wait!!! I gotta know what happens next, then I guess I will wait till December for the movie...

Alise... My Identical Cousin....

I saw this cool challenge I could NOT resist from Haley.....Create a layout (any size) that shows a family relationship you find important. You know, one of those little special bonds that we are all so blessed to have. So I choose my wonderful cousin, Alise... We were born on the same day, and called ourselves identical cousins, such a pal, I miss her, since she lived in very cool Cali, right by the beach, without me... LOL. Journaling reads: "We've been through so much together, the ups & downs, even lived together. I wish you weren't so far away." (also included some layouts from awhile back)

Serendipity Scrapbooks DT Reveal (July)

Just fell in LOOOOVVVEEE with this totally packed, fun and adorable kit from Serendipity Scrapbooks and the July Altered Kit is just to die for!!!!! Lots of un Sassafras and October Afternoon PPs, rub ons, and great goodies.
