3,2,1, Cute.
I couldn't resist the fun sketch from Elizabeth at the American Crafts blog for their sketch week.. It just screamed USE ME!!!! So I did.. I just love how cute this owl line of paper is.. I held onto it for awhile cuz I couldn't let myself break it in.. The challenge was to use at least 2 AC products.. Everything on the page is AC except the Prima flowers... so thanks for the great sketches AC.Congratulations Deer
I have to say I just adore this fun and cute deer paper from American Crafts.. It just makes me smile whenever I pull it out and use it.. I thought this was a fun sentiment to add onto the card with this paper. I used the American Crafts card sketch from Martha on the blog last week.. It was just too cute of a sketch to pass up.. The challenge to use at least 2 AC products.. I used paper, ribbon and minimarks.Monday, February 22, 2010
My {tweet} Heart
Well it's my turn and I am up for the weekly challenge at Croppin Paradise.. this round my challenge is title "Cutwork with Dimension". I used this adorable line from MME Abby Road Whirly Bird from the Croppin Paradise store to create this page.. For the challenge, I want to see some type of cutwork done and then use some pop dots or 3D glue dots to make those pieces jump off the page.. Here is my example.... Hope you all play along...Sunday, February 21, 2010
Paradise Weekly Challenges
This page was for the 2/8 weekly challenge at Croppin Paradise.. It was to used a smaller size photo and have lots of white space.. this is a technique that I LOVE to see other people do, but I have a hard time doing myself.. But I am very happy with this page.. and used the Fancy Pants winter line from the Croppin Paradise store..
This page for the the 2/15 weekly challenge which was to have handwritten journaling really take over your page and tell the story. This photo is of Sydney and her cousin. She loved to act like a little mother to Ryder and "take care of him". Its actually really cute to watch. I used some of the MME Abby Road line from the Croppin Paradise store to create this page.Saturday, February 20, 2010

Some Recent Pages

Here are a couple of recent pages that I finally got around to posting from the weekend. This one used the 2/5 My sketch World sketch.. I also used it for Diane's challenge at 2SDs to create a non Valentines layout with Valentines papers.. so there were perfect for a page about Sydney. It's mainly some Teresa Collins, Basic Gray, and Lil Yellow Bicycle from last years stash.

Imagination
Over at MSW there is a month long Sketch crop going on... Here is my take on the 2/11 sketch.. I re-found this photo of Austin and his good buddy, James.. a random photo I took at Austin's birthday at Liberty Land.. They were just being boys, talking, looking out at the water, and I had to grab the moment and snap this photo.. I just love it and the angle.. I thought the title was very fitting for it also. Had this fun boy kit and it worked right along with it.. also combined it with Angele challenge at 2SD's to use a quote on a page.. something I rarely do and gave me a push in the right direction...upclose details:

Altered Valentine's Box
I made this altered box.. It was just a cardboard box and then decided to spruce it up a bit and add a kick to it. The box is a 9in x 9in x 1in sized box. I took an older Serendipity Scrapbook kit and used it to embellish the box. I even covered the insides and sides so it is all over over altered... I also added some fun ribbons, added some scallops and crumpled the tickets and inked them to give it an edgy kind of feel... I also LOVE the heart w/wings, wording and the heart/crown.. its from the Luxe color me line, and just love how fun it is to cut them out, and then add color for some spunk... I really am happy with how it turned out.. Just need to find something to fill it with... hmmm..Friday, February 12, 2010
My Two
Finally got to some scrappin time tonight.. Yup it's been awhile.. I haven't gotten much done, it's been a busy week and last weekend I was pretty dang sick, so finally a chance to catch up and bust out some scrappin.. wooo hoo.. Here is a page I did tonight that used sketch 110 from sketch inspirations.. I've had this photo on my desk for a week now, wanting to scrap it. I finally took the time to organize some much needed to be organized photos and found this one and knew I wanted to use it.. Kinda a more simple page for me, but love the open space (yes that's what I consider open space for me..lol) and used some much yummy Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg.Fo-Hawk
