GCD: Pool Side Layout

I've got a fun layout up on the GCD blog....

One of our favorite things to do in the summer, is go to the pool. When we lived in Utah, we had a favorite pool to swim at, take lessons, and cool off in the summer. Some of my favorite summer photos are of the kids swimming at the pool. I love how the colors always seem bright and happy against the blue glass water.
This is a photo taken of my daughter when she was just hanging out in the pool, not even aware that I was photographing her. The Flower Child line is perfect for pool photos, the colors are brilliant and work great with the blues from the water, and fun colors of swimsuits.

For the feel of the pool water, I added some misting on the page and glitter letters. Just to make sure the titling stood out, I outlined it in black with my sharpie:
Next I fussy cut out some of the flowers, and then hole punches some flower centers to sprinkle through out the page:
Sprinkling confetti through out the page also gives the effect of splashing water on the layout:
And just to make sure the other side of the page has some texture, I cut out some peacock feathers and pop dotted them, and then added some Stickles to continue the glitter on the page:
Pool page complete. I don't know about you, but I am ready to go dive into the pool right about now!!
Happy Swimming.....

Supplies: paper: Flower Child line: Flowery, Twisted Floral, Peacock, Flowered Geo, Groovy, Organic Geo.
