Close Knit- layouts, cards, and an altered project.. oh my.....

Hello and good morning...

I'm up over up on the Scrapbook Steals Blog today and I’m sharing a few items that I made using Crate’s Close Knit collection. It’s soft colors, and vintage inspired theme were wonderful to work with and I just LOVE all the fun embellishment accent pieces.

First up, I altered a soup can that we used for lunch. I took off all the packaging and clean it out. I added some paper to the outside, as well as lined the inside with paper, to give it a more finished look.

I used some of the diecuts, chipboard pieces, and wood veneer shapes.

I made several pinwheels out of paper, and then used the epoxy brads for the pinwheel centers and then staggered the sizes of height.

I created this family layout, using our Christmas family photo.

The soft colors reminded me of a quilt, so I played around with some triangle shapes and added some stitching.

I also made a layout of my little one, who fell asleep in the car with her little bear. I used one of the layered borders with the word “hugs” on it for my title and added several wood veneer pieces.

I played around with cutting on the "lace" border and then using the B side of the cut out triangles and adding them into the open center areas:

Lastly, I made a couple of cards. I used different chipboard pieces to add as accents to the:

I have just enjoyed working with this collection. I really feel like it can work for any occasion, even through it is mainly family themed.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!! Happy Friday!!!!
