Playing with American Crafts DIY shop

Hello and good afternoon..

I'm up over on the Scrapbook Steals blog today....

Today I am sharing with you some projects using the new American Crafts DIY shop embellies. These are the perfect accents to add to your projects to really  spice them up and add some eye candy.

On my first page, I used some of the wooden banners. I covered some of the them with patterned papers and then misted them to give a kinda of wood grain feel.

Here is my layout with a layer banner, I had punched out some banner pieces previously and then added some dimension with some of the covered wood pieces. I also used some of the DIY shop cork arrows and stars though out the page.

On a second page, I used several of the DIY shop chalk board speech bubbles and banners. I used black cardstock and misted it with white mist, then added lighter color papers to make the chalk board pieces pop.

I added some word phrases to the speech bubbles and several of the DIY cork shapes.

Next up, I created this quick and easy card. I misted some of the wood banners again.

And added some mini alphas to the chalk board banner for the sentiment.

Lastly, one more card using a few pieces from the DIY shop to add as embellish, a sentiment holder and tab on the top of the tag.

I can’t express how FUN these DIY pieces are!!! Perfect for any project..
