Happy Birthday 2 A Star

Hello and good morning...

Happy Monday and hope you had a great long holiday weekend!!! It's always hard to get back into the swing of things for me.

Up on the Cards in Envy blog is the latest card challenge to play along with...
The challenge: is about the Stars AND Stripes, you can use any color AND any theme as long as your card has BOTH Stars AND Stripes!  Also, your card must be A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing.

Here is my card I came up with:

I used both strips and starred patterned papers for the card focal point:

Actually for this challenge, I made two cards. Each is for my nephews, who are twins and so I sent them each one for their bday.

Here are a few reminders about our challenge requirements:

1. No square cards.  All cards entered must be A2 size (4.25" x 5.5")
2. No lumpy, bumpy cards.  Elements on your card need to be relatively flat (no thicker than 1/4")
3. Limit entries to 3 per challenge.
4. No Back Linking.  Cards must be posted to your blog or online album during the challenge dates.  If it was posted online BEFORE the beginning of our challenge, it cannot be linked.
5. Entry must be for the current theme: Stars AND Stripes A2 Cards
