I used the Springtime collection and decided to go with a "messy" spring card instead of something clean.
I used the SPR-1522 Take Flight paper for my main background, and felt it was too busy, so I spread gesso over the background. Next I took a mask and added three or four different color mists until I got the look I was going for (I used a teal, light green, yellow, and deeper aqua mist)
I also punched out some butterflies, and then used a bit of mist on my finger and spread it on the butterflies to add a bit of color, and topped it off with some bling in the center:

ReplyDeleteAs much as I would love to try this...I would be too afraid of messing up the gorgeous paper and then not having anything!! You however; really do justice to these techniques! Love them, your color choices and the bird! The stitching is a nice added touch!
