Man of Faith and Example

Gordon B Hinckley
Well I've been putting of updating my blog, since I knew I wanted to and need to posted about this, but knew how completely emotional I would become while writing. All I can say, is that I am so grateful to be alive at this time this man was called to serve as a prophet. He was such an amazing man, a true example of perfection, a man with a GREAT sense of humor, and a man who loved life- and his wife- what a terrific example of a true and loving husband, and someone who truly emulated the Savior in all his actions. I was saddened by the news of his passing, but at the same time knew he had lived a full and marvelous life- what more can you ask for? I am grateful for the standards and example he set and someone to strive to be like. We watched the funeral together as a family, and of course I couldn't help but shed a couple of tears, but I know he did what he needed to in his lifetime and was called home. Austin had a really hard time with it, he watched the funeral and at the end just started crying, and crying alot. He is such a sentimental little guy, I asked him what was wrong and he said " I'm sad, I'm not scared, I'm just going to miss him." Take it from a 6 year old who knows how to explain things simply. And yes Austin, I do feel the same way....
