I know it's late, but I wanted to get this up and posted.
Over Christmas break, I needed to take a dessert to Jeremy's family's Christmas dinner get together. They aren't super big on chocolate.... (what's up with that... seriously, chocolate desserts are the best) so I aimed to pick something that was less chocolately and more on the fruit side of a dessert.
I had pinned this BlackBerry Pie bars a looong time ago and had wanted to make it forever. They had some fresh blackberries in at Costco and knew it would be perfect to make and bring..
So here is my pinterest inspiration:
I made it exactly as the recipe called for. At first I thought it was weird that the recipe called to zest some lemon and mix it with your sugar.... BUT can I tell you WHAT a difference it made!!!! I LOVED the hint of lemon in each bite...

I LOVED that it made a 9x13 dish.. because it tasted even better the next day...
Check out ALL those blackberries.. you don't even cut them up.. you put them in whole.. YUM!!!
