I've been meaning to make a banner for my daughter's room for awhile, but have just been putting it off and eventually meaning to get to it. But the other day was her 9th Birthday, so it was the perfect excuse to create a banner for her, and I wanted to surprise her when she came home from school and have it up ready to go.
Here is the final product. I was very happy with it, and I could tell by the smile on her face, she was super excited too.
I used my Cricut machine to cut out the letters, the crown and the cupcake on the end. I used mainly October Afternoon papers for the banner and then some older Sassafras Lass for the letters, crown and cupcake.
I also added some punched out butterflies and handmade swirl flowers on to each letter. I played along with the Paper Variety's challenge to include handmade flowers on your project... Easy enough.
And here is Sydney with her new room decor:
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!!!!
