Scrap Tiffany April 1 Sketch

There's a super cool and fun sketch over at Scrap Tiffany to play along with today.. You have to check it out, it's SOOOOO cute. I couldn't wait to dig in to use it, and here is that page I created. I used Sassafras Lass Paper Crush for this page. These photos are of Sydney, I took some of her modeling for Kristine's Bold Blooms Etsy store. It was December, snow on the ground, but the sun was up, and it was sooo chilly outside. Sydney was such a sport and took some amazing photos, I just LOVE the way the sunlight reflects off of her, and she is just such a cutie. I went a little banner crazy, but I couldn't resist...
Banners, and lots of them:

Hope you have a wonderful Friday!!!! TGIF!!!

Miss You Sassafras Card

This week I got asked by my brother in law to make some cards for him. How can I say no? He always says great things about my cards, and of course that makes me feel great. He needed a Miss You card for someone special to him, so I came up and created this one. I used the CPS 211 sketch to make this one.. and Paige's grid card challenge at Scrapbook Trends Blog.. so I busted out the sewing machine and created the grid.. plus I always love some fun embellies, and lots of them... Nuts About Sketches Week 154

Nuts About Sketches week # 154... a new sketch is posted for the week and it is a FUN one.... Here is my take on it.. When we went to Disneyland in October, we always take fun pictures in front of the letters at California Adventures.. Austin even got to stand in front of his initials... he really is such a cool kid. I used some Pink Paislee Old School on the page, some misting, sewing, and even added a tad bit of doodling.

Day 27: Sketchy Sunday

woooo hoooo... It's a new week, and Pam has a new fun sketch up and posted at 365 card challenge blog to play along with. Here is the sketch for Day 27: This week's sponsor is Digi Doodle shop and they provided us with some fun images to use on our cards...

Card #1: Hoot Hoot, You're #1... I used the adorable Hoot Owl... I just couldn't resist, I'm a HUGE fan of owls... and this one is sooo stinkin cute too.

I added some stitching along the edges of the card:
I used the You're #1 ticket for my sentiment:
Card #2: With Love: I used the Girl Bear digi image here. I even tried adding some glitter with a glitter pen, but I don't think it's showing up too well.
I added lots of fun bling to "dress up" her dress:
I also softened up the card with some lace, since she was such a girlie stamp, I thought it worked perfectly.
Hope you have a wonderful sketchy Sunday....

U Rock- Twisted Sketch Card#52

The latest card sketch from Twisted Sketches is up and posted HERE to play along with.. Sketch #52 has a fun twist: FRAME... I went through my stash and found one of those old Making Memories metal frames and knew it would be perfect for the card.. I went a bit more simple of this one, but made sure to add some distressing.. I just LOVE the cute journal sticker from Studio Calico... perfect to pop a sentiment on...

Being Kinda Silly

Being Kinda Silly.. that is one thing that our family does.. and we do it well. Last Sept when we were up in Park City, we took some photo booth photos while we were out bowling, and I always love to see how they turn out. Esp when you try and squeeze 4 people into one of those tiny booths... Here is my page, I used the 3.17 sketchy Thursdays sketch, which this photo strip was perfect for.
I also played along with the Paper Variety's Tic Tac Toe- the row I choose: Make a LO, use a bird, use some scallops... Got em.. I used Echo Park's Walk in the Park line, which is still sooo much fun and great to use for spring pages.. The LOVELY green felt flower is from my good scrappin buddy Patti, she made that herself.. how cute huh??
